Teacher candidates were provided with tangible experiences-based individual differences training
via plants in the framework of this study undertaken in 2013-2014 academic year. In the study
designed as action research, teacher candidates were asked to plan the first two weeks of their
teaching as first grade teachers in order to ascertain their approach to individual differences in the
teaching process. A 14-week training process was designed to create awareness about individual
differences and importance of getting to know students in this framework. Research data were
collected with the help of qualitative techniques-observations and semi-structured interview
questions- and analyzed descriptively
