Güven, sosyal sermaye ve sivil toplum kavramları, günümüzde sosyal bilimlerin toplumla ilgili olarak yaptığı çalışmalarda, önemli açıklama araçları olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bunu ortaya çıkaran en önemli sebep toplumsal yaşamın bir takım ilişkiler üzerine kurulmuş olmasıdır. Bu ilişkilerin anlam ve öneminin açıklanmasında da güven, sosyal sermaye ve sivil toplum kavramlarına ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Modernite sürecinin bireyselliği güçlendirmesi ile birlikte toplumsal olanın gerilemesi, gelinen noktada ilişkileri ve bu ilişkileri sağlayan değerleri daha da önemli kılmıştır. Öyle ki toplumun bir arada olmasında, dayanışmayı sağlamasında veya ekonomik refahının artırılmasında bu unsurların önemli bir görevi yerine getirdiği düşünülmektedir. Bu da bireysellik ile toplumsallık arasında dengenin nasıl kurulacağı şeklinde önemli bir soruyu beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu noktada sivil toplum kavramı önemli bir işleve sahip olma potansiyeli taşımaktadır. Sivil toplumun oluşmasında ve işlemesinde de güven ve sosyal sermayenin önemli bir rolü söz konusudur. Bu kavramlar karşılıklı olarak birbirini etkileme özelliğine sahiptir. Bu makalede Fukuyama’nın görüşleri bağlamında güven, sosyal sermaye ve sivil toplum kavramlarının birbirleriyle olan ilişkisi açıklanarak; toplumsal dayanışma ve toplumsal refahın artırılmasında sivil toplumun nasıl bir rolünün ve öneminin olabileceği tartışılacaktır

Trust, the concepts of social capital and civil society, today's studies of social sciences in relation to society, is used as an important annotation tools. It brings out the most important reason is that social life is built on relationships with a number. In explaining the meaning and importance of these relationships, trust, concepts of social capital and civil society are needed. What with the decline of the social process to strengthen the individuality of modernity, at this point that values relationships and these relationships have made it even more important. So being a combination of community, solidarity, for obtaining or improving the economic welfare of of these elements is thought to fulfill a task. How to set this in the form of a balance between individuality and sociality brings about an important question. At this point the concept of civil society has the potential to have an important function. The consist of sivil society and working, trust and social capital also plays an important role in question. These concepts are mutually influencing features. Fukuyama's views in the context of this article, trust, social capital and its relationship with each other by explaining the concepts of civil society; the increasing of social solidarity and social welfare role of sivil society and importance of what might be discussed.
