Mileševa monastery is located in the valley of Mileševka river, i.e. at the mouth of Kosanićka
river in Mileševka river. It is six kilometers far from Prijepolje, and it is a seat of Mileševa Eparchy.
The monastery was built in the style of Raška school, and dates from the period between 1219 and
1235. Mileševa monastery is of great importance for culture, art and history of Serbian people.
It also plays an important role in tourism of Prijepolje and represents a cultural asset by which
whole this place is largely known.
In this paper authors will present tourist valorization of the Mileševa monastery. The main
objective of this paper is to evaluate the different values of this cultural asset using Hillary du Cros
model of tourist valorization.
