To practically conceive the term “competitiveness” in pedagogical science, we need more than just its traditional definition – we need some kind of an explication, established at a general level, of the interrelationship between this notion and its components and other categories of the domain area. Based on a practice-oriented approach and inclusive of the concept of competitiveness of the personality of a student, the author develops a model for the psychological system of learning activity as a complex of various abilities, which by virtue of being determined by the internal potential of an individual and external needs of society acquires a new systemic quality – competitiveness.

В условиях новых рыночных отношений формирование конкурентоспособной
личности – это требование, которое учащиеся в соответствии с реалиями жизни
предъявляют к образовательному менеджменту. Речь идет не о развитии абстрактных
способностей и качеств, а о вполне конкретном адаптированном к условиям рыночной
экономики и социокультурным нормам нашего времени спектре способностей и качеств
учащегося, которые в практическом плане фокусируются в показателе
конкурентоспособности.
