Makale Özeti: 86.1% of the enterprises that work at the marbel sector are of small and medium-sized. 40.2% of enterprises work at idle capacity. The significant reasons for working at low capacity are not having enough qualified workers, lack of demand, lack of sub-structure and insufficient raw material. The three important production problems of the enterprises under study are the difficulty in the transportation of raw material, the high prices of energy, insufficiency of raw material. The three important marketing problems in this sector in which there is high competition, are low price policies of competing enterprises, inability to ensure homogenity in marbel, and not having sufficient capacity to respond to orders. 59.8% of the enterprises are involved in export. The most important exportation problems are the lack of standardization and quality of goods, high prices, the lack of marketing knowledge, insufficient financing, problems of legistations and the lack of organization abroad.
