Araştırma, matematik öğretmeni adaylarının dinamik bir yazılım ile materyal hazırladıkları konuyu seçme nedenleri ve seçtikleri konuyu nasıl öğretecekleri hakkındaki görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Ortaöğretim matematik öğretmenliği dördüncü sınıfta öğrenim gören 24 öğretmen adayına uygulanan bu araştırmada, veriler görüş formu aracılığı ile elde edilmiştir. Öğretmen adayları materyalleri hazırlarken GeoGebra dinamik yazılımını kullanmışlardır. Verilerin içerik ve betimsel analizi yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizi sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının; görselleştirme, uygulanabilirlik, konunun öğretim programında yer alması ve konunun anlaşılmasının zor olması gibi nedenlerden dolayı materyal hazırladıkları konuyu seçtikleri görülmektedir. Öğretmen adaylarının belirttikleri diğer nedenler arasında ise materyal hazırladıkları konuya özgü özellikler yer almaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarının materyal hazırladıkları konunun öğretiminde daha çok konuya ait kavram ve özelliklerin görselleştirilmesi üzerinde durdukları görülmüştür.

The aim of this research was to determine the reason why the prospective teachers selected the particular subject for which they prepared materials and the opinions of the prospective teachers on how they would teach the subject that they selected. The data was obtained via the opinion form. The research was administered to 24 prospective teachers who were fourth-year students at the department of secondary mathematics teaching. Prospective teachers have used GeoGebra dynamic software when preparing materials. The data were analysed using both content and descriptive analysis. In view of the data analysis, it is observed that the prospective teachers selected the particular subject for which they prepared materials due to reasons such as visualization, applicability, availability of the subject in the curriculum and the fact that it was difficult to understand the subject. Among the other reasons stated by the prospective teachers are the features unique to the subject for which they prepared material. It was observed that the prospective teachers rather emphasized on visualizing the concepts and features belonging to the subject while teaching the subject for which they prepared materials
