Bu çalışma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin ilkokul dördüncü sınıf trafik güvenliği dersi öğretim programına yönelik görüşlerini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Elazığ ili Karakoçan ilçesinde görev yapan 23 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri açık-uçlu sorulardan oluşan anket formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenler; ilkokul dördüncü sınıf trafik güvenliği dersi öğretim programının öğrencilerin günlük hayatlarında kullanacakları bilgiler kazandıklarını, kazanımların öğrencilerin seviyelerine uygun olduğunu, ünitelerin içeriğinin ve öğrenci ders kitabındaki metinlerin öğrenci seviyesine uygun olduğunu, öğrenme-öğretme sürecinde kullanılan araç-gereçlerin yetersiz olduğunu, tamamlayıcı ölçme-değerlendirme araçlarını (performans, proje ölçeği, portfolyo gibi) kullandıklarını, dersle ilgili araç-gereçlerin temin edilmesi gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. Araştırma sonunda, bulgulara paralel olarak öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

This study has been carried out to assess opinions of the class teachers regarding the educational program of the traffic safety course for the primary school 4th grade. In the research, phenomenology, which is one of the qualitative research patterns, has been used. 23 class teachers serving in Karakoçan district of Elazığ province constitute the study group of the research. Research data have been collected by using a questionnaire consisting of open-ended questions. Descriptive analysis is used to analyze the data. According to the findings, teachers indicated that the students gained knowledge that they would use in their daily lives from the educational program of the traffic safety course for the primary school 4th grade, gains were in accordance with the levels of the students, contents of the units and texts in the schoolbooks were suitable for the level of the students, tools used in the process of teaching and learning were insufficient, they used supplementary measurement-assessment tools (performance, project scale, portfolio, etc.), equipment related to the course must be supplied. At the end of the research, suggestions in parallel with the findings have been developed.
