Müslüman Türk toplumunun düşünce dünyasında önemli bir yer tutan metinlerden biri de Süleyman Çelebi’nin Mevlid’idir. Daha çok Hz. Peygamber sevgisinin işlendiği eser, dil ve edebî yönü yanında tasavvufî, ahlâki ve kelamî açılardan incelemeye konu olmuştur. Mevlid’in müellifi, varlık, bilgi ve değer konularını edebî bir metnin imkanları ölçüsünde ele almış ve devrin önemli sorunlarına çözüm getirmeye çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, felsefenin temel araştırma konuları bağlamında Mevlid metnini felsefi bir incelemeye tabi tutmak olacaktır.

One of the texts that occupy a prominent place in the world of thought among Muslim Turkish society is Mawlid by Sulaiman Chalaby. The work, which deals principally with the love for the Prophet Muhammad, has been the subject of study in respect of sufism, morality and theology alongside its language and literary aspects. The author of Mawlid tackled questions of being, knowledge and value insofar as it is possible within the confines of a literary text and tried to provide solutions to the major problems of the period. The aim of this study is to conduct a philosophical analysis of this work within the context of basic research topics in philosophy.
