Bu çalışmanın konusunu aile destek çalışmalarının sosyolojik açıdan incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Küreselleşen dünyada aile yapısında bir takım sorunlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Sosyoloji bu noktada devreye girerek bu sorunları çözüme kavuşturmak için aile destek merkezlerini anlamaya ve açıklamaya çalışmaktadır. Birey ve aile ile ilgili problemlerin artması sosyolojinin dikkatini çekmekte ve bu konuya eğilerek aile destek çalışmalarını analiz etmeye çalışmaktadır. Toplumlar için merkezi öneme sahip aile kurumunun yapısal anlamda değişim içinde olduğu varsayılarak aile destek merkezlerinin nasıl algılandığı bu çalışmanın temel problemidir. Aile yapısının değişimi beraberinde aile destek merkezleri olgusunu da getirmiştir. Dokuz kadın altı erkek katılımcı ve üç aile destek uzmanıyla görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Daha sonra Konya'da yaşayan bir grup katılımcıyla aile destek çalışmaları algısını ölçmeye yönelik bir uygulama yapılmıştır. Metodoloji olarak nitel araştırma seçilerek bir grubun aile destek çalışmalarını nasıl algıladığı üzerinde durulmuştur. Etnografik araştırma olarak geliştirilen bu çalışmada belirli bir gruba yönelik davranış ve tutumlar ölçülmek istenmiştir. Araştırma Konya'daki aile destek hizmeti merkezlerinde yürütülmüştür.

The subject of this study constitutes a general sociological assessment of family support services. In an increasingly globalizing world, various problems arise in family structures. Sociology coming into play tries to understand and synthesize family support centres. Looking at this context, the increase in the number of problems related to the family deserves the attention of sociology, trying to analyse the necessity of family support services. The main problem of this study is the way how family support centres are understood by keeping in mind that family as an institution with a central importance in societies has been altering. The change in the structure of family results in the emergence of the issue of family support centres as well. Interviews were carried out with 9 women, 6 men and 3 specialists of family support service. Later, a survey was practised in a group of participants living in Konya in order to measure the perception of family support services. Qualitative research was determined as a methodology to see how a group of people perceive family support services. Behaviour and attitudes towards a particular group were intended to be measured in this particular study which was developed as a cultural research. The research was carried out in family support service centres in Konya.
