В статье обоснованы необходимость и возможность перевода мировой энергетики на использование космической энергии. Показаны, что сложившиеся тенденции развития энергетики на рубеже нескольких столетий на нерациональном сжигании угля, нефти и газа привели к катастрофическому разрушению здоровья самой Земли и ее населения. Цивилизация не может жить дальше так, как сегодня: нужно переходить на использование космической энергии.
