İkna edici metinler bir konu üzerinde öne sürülen düşüncelerin gerekçeleriyle birlikte anlatılması esasına dayalı bir anlatmadır. İkna edici metin oluşturma süreci, öğrencinin kendi düşüncesini öne sürmesini, kabul etmediği düşünceye karşı mantıklı bir şekilde cevap vermesini gerektirir. Bu süreç öğrencilerin ikna yeteneğinin gelişmesini ve ikna tekniklerini çözümlemesini sağlar. Bu süreci kolaylaştıracak etmenlerin başında ikna edici metin yapısı gelmektedir. İkna edici metin yapısı; giriş, önerme, ana argümanlar, yardımcı argümanlar, karşı önerme ve sonuç olmak üzere 6 birimden oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada lisans öğrencilerinin oluşturdukları ikna edici metinlerin, metin yapısı açısından incelenmesi ve ortaya çıkan sorunların betimlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü’nde öğrenim görmekte olan 40 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Katılımcıların hepsi lisans 1. sınıf öğrencisidir. Veriler öğrencilerden alınan yazılı anlatımlar vasıtasıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesi, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan içerik analizi tekniği ile yapılmıştır. Bu tekniğin seçilmesindeki iki önemli sebep; toplanan verileri açıklayabilecek kavramlara ulaşmak ve bu verileri daha derin analize tabi tutup, elde edilen verileri açıklayan temaları bulmaktır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, öğretmen adaylarının “önerme” hariç diğer bütün birimlerde sorun yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir.

Persuasion is the process of changing people’s behaviors, attitudes, and thoughts through words, visuals, and a variety of strategies. In this process, different kinds of methods and techniques are used. Persuasive writing, one of the persuasion methods, is of the most common writing practices used in the world. In this practice, author gives an idea according to his values and thoughts and attempt to support his arguments. This practice helps students argue their ideas, express a different from someone else, improve their persuasion skills, and analyze persuasion techniques. Books, films, and advertisements are based on written texts. These texts, media texts and daily and working-life texts, often employ persuasion techniques. In this regard, students, teachers, preservice teachers need to know how to organize the stages of persuasive texts, analyze and apply these stages. According to Turkish Language Arts Curriculum, it requires that students need to get involved in learning activities about how to use persuasion methods and techniques related to speaking and writing. A total of 30 first-year preservice students from a public university in Turkey`s Canakkale province constituted the research sample. The data was obtained from the preservice teachers` writing practices. Then, this data was analyzed according to content analysis technique. There were two reasons to use technique. One of them was to reach general concepts explaining the data. Another one was to make possible deep understanding of the data. The results showed that the preservice teachers had al lack of knowledge about organizing persuasive writings.
