Bu çalışma Erzurum il merkezindeki 14 lise ve 11 meslek lisesinde yapılmıştır. Biyo-loji dersi alan 351 lise ve 234 meslek lisesi öğrencisine anket uygulanarak biyoloji öğretimi-nin sorunlarına ilişkin görüşleri alınmıştır. Verilerin analizinde X2 “uyum kontrol testi” uygu-lanmıştır. Alınan sonuçlara önemlilik dereceleri verilmiştir (p<0,05). Neticede, lise ve meslek liselerinde en önemli görülen sorunlar, “sınıflar çok kalabalıktır”, “laboratuar araçları yeter-sizdir”, “üniversiteye girişte biyoloji dersinin ağırlığı azdır” ve “biyoloji derslerinde uygula-ma eksikliği mevcuttur” şeklinde sıralanmaktadır.

This study has been carried out in fourteen high schools and eleven vocational high schools located in the center of Erzurum. A questionnaire has been administered to 351 high schools and 234 vocational high schools student’s views on the problems of biology teaching. The results have been evaluated by using the X2 test and have been given their significancy degrees (p<0,05). According to the views of the high school students and the vocational high school students, the most important problems on the biology teaching are “classrooms are very crowded”, “laboratory facilities are not good enough” “the numbers biology questions in university enterance” and “there are lack of practicing in biology lessons”.
