Bu çalışmanın amacı, coğrafyada uygulanan ve önemli sayılan aktif öğretim yön-temlerini belirlemektir. Toplum ve doğal çevre arasındaki ilişkilerinin oluşması ve insanlara farklı bir dünya görüşü kazandırması için, coğrafya öğretiminde doğru ve etkili yöntemlerin uygulanması gerekir. Anlatım, soru- cevap, gösteri, gezi-gözlem, iş ve deney ile problem çözme yöntemleri coğrafya konuları içinde uygulanabilir. Ayrıca bilginin aktarımı ve top-lumdaki hedeflerin gerçekleşmesi açısından aktif öğretim yöntemlerinin öğretmenler tarafın-dan etkili bir biçimde kullanılması önemlidir.

The purpose of this study is to determine the activite teaching methods which are practiced in geography and accepted as important. True and effective methods must be used in geography teaching to constitute relations between society and natural environment and to earn the people a different world view. Expression, question- answer, demonstration, outing-observation, labor and experiment and a problem solving methods can be practiced into the subjects of geography. In addition the usage of active teaching methods must be effectively used by the teachers to transfer the knowledge and realize the targets in the society.
