Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin profilleri ve başarılarına etki
eden faktörleri belirlemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda gerekli literatür taraması yapılarak
K.S.Ü. Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Fen Bölümlerinden rast gele seçilmiş 141 öğrenciye,
15 açık uçlu, 13 kapalı uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır.
Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi öğrencilerinin
orta gelir düzeyinde oldukları ve başarısını en çok ortam ve ekonomik
sebeplerin etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu öğrencilere gerekli (fiziki ve sosyal) ortam
ve ekonomik destek sağlanarak (burs, kredi vb.) başarıları arttırılabilir.

The aim of this study is to determine profiles of university students and
factors that the effect their success. With this aim, the rewiev of literature on the
subject has been concluded and a poll which include 15 open-end and 13 close-end
question has been applied to 141 randomly selected students from Science
departments of K.S.Ü. Faculty of Sciences and Arts.
According to findings which obtained form this research, students of Faculty
of Sciences and Arts were medium income level and their success effected most ofenvironment and economic reasons have been determined. Achievement of these
students may be increased by supporting them giving opportunity and economical
aid.
