Статья посвящена освещению некоторых теоретических аспектов изучения вопроса конфессиональной идентичности львовского Ставропигийского братства в XVIII в.. На основе имеющихся сведений прослежено условия и процесс перехода конфратернии к унии. Основной акцент сделан на вопросах адаптации предмета исследований к новым экклезиальным условиям, а также рассмотрению причин неприятия унии. На основе полученных результатов выделении вопросы для будущих исследований.

The article considers some theoretical aspects of studying the questions of confessional identity of Lviv Dorminion brotherhood in XVIII century. Based on available information, traced the conditions and the process of transition to the Church Union. The main emphasis is made on the issues of adaptation of the subject matter of the research to the new ecclesiastical conditions, as well as consideration of the reasons for rejection of the Union. On the basis of the received results highlighted issues for future research.
