Araştırmanın amacı eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin çeşitli televizyon programlarını
izlemek için ne kadar zaman ayırdıklarını ve bu sürenin barındıkları yere
göre değişip değişmediğini belirlemektir. Veriler altı farklı programa kayıtlı 1029
öğrenciden anket yoluyla toplanmış, izleme sürelerinin değişip değişmediğini belirlemek
için Kruskal Wallis Testi kullanılmıştır. Farklılığın olduğu durumlarda, farkın
hangi gruplar arasında olduğunu tespit etmek için Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır.
Eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin çeşitli televizyon programlarını izlemek için
haftada ortalama 18,28 saat zaman ayırdığı ve çeşitli televizyon programlarını izlemek
için ayrılan sürenin öğrencilerin barındıkları yere göre anlamlı ölçüde farklı
olduğu bulunmuştur. Ailesi ile birlikte kalan öğrencilerin en fazla, özel yurtlarda
barınan öğrencilerin en az süre ile televizyon izlediği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, barınılan
yere göre spor, müzik, belgesel, haber, magazin ve diğer (dizi film, çizgi film,
reklâm vb) televizyon programlarının izlenme süresi anlamlı ölçüde değişmektedir.

The aim of this research is to investigate that how much time college of
education students spend to watch various television programs and to clear whether
watching period is different according to their accommodation. The data was collected
from 1029 freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior students who enrolled six
different colleges of education programs. Kruskal Wallis Test was made to clear
whether duration of watching various television programs. Mann Whitney U Test
used to find out source of differences. It was found that the students from college of
education watched television 18.28 hour per week and watching duration were different
depending on accommodation. The students who stayed with their family watched television the longest duration and students who stayed special dormitory
watched television the less duration. In addition, their duration of watching various
television programs that sport, music, documentary film, news, magazine, and others
(soap opera, cartoon film, advertisement etc.) were different according to accommodation.
