Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversitelerin beden eğitimi ve spor eğitimi veren kurumlarında
öğrenim görmüş bireylerin işe yerleşme sorunları ile bu alandaki yeni iş
imkânlarının ortaya konmasıdır. Toplumun aktivite ihtiyacının giderilmesi ve sportif
faaliyetlere yönlendirilebilmesi, beden eğitimi ve spor alanında eğitim almış bireylerin
sektördeki istihdamları ile ilişkilidir. Spor kurumlarında, üretilecek programların
niteliği ile beraber hizmet sunacak personelin sayı ve kalitesi etkili olmaktadır. Bu
yönü ile sistem büyük ölçüde, spor hizmeti sunacak eğitimli bireylere dayanmaktadır.
Dolayısıyla Spor kurum ya da organizasyonlarının amaçlarını başarı ile yerine
getirebilmeleri, diğer unsurların yanında, ancak eğitimli bireylerle mümkündür. Fakat
bugünkü bulgular beden eğitimi ve spor eğitimi almış bireylerin Türkiye ihtiyaçlarına
uygun bir denge içinde istihdam edilemediğini ortaya koymaktadır.
Araştırma literatür taramasının yanında iki ayrı üniversite kapsamındaki verilerin
değerlendirilmesine dayanmaktadır. Çalışmada Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi
(AKÜ) Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu (BESYO) sınavına katılan adayların
öğrenciliğine hak kazanıp bu okuldan mezun oldukları takdirde iş sahibi olma beklentileri
ile halen Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi (OMÜ) Yaşar Doğu Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu’nda (YDBESYO) okuyan öğrencilerinin mezuniyet sonrası
istihdam beklentileri sorgulanarak değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmaya,
AKÜ BESYO giriş sınavına katılan (2006 yılı) 280 aday öğrenci ile OMÜ
YDBESYO’da öğrenim gören (2008 yılı) 200 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı
olarak anket formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde yüzde ve frekans gibi basit
istatistikler yanında “Chi-Square Testi” kullanılmıştır.
İstihdam konusunda YDBESYO’da öğrenim gören öğrencilerin sınıflara göre
işe yerleşme beklentileri anlamlı derecede farklıdır. Üst sınıflara gelindiğinde
öğrencilerin istihdam beklentileri de zayıflamaktadır. Oysa AKÜ BESYO sınavına
katılan aday öğrencilerin bu konuda önemli ölçüde bir endişe taşımamaktadır.
Bu sorunun çözümü için öncelikle, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı programında yapılacak
sistematik bir değişiklikle spor dallarında uzmanlaşmaya gidilerek, “spor dalları
öğretmenliği” oluşturulmalıdır. Diğer yandan, hem 657 sayılı kanunda düzenleme
yapılarak, “Spor Hizmetleri Sınıfı” kurulması hem de 3289 sayılı yasada yapılacak
düzenlemeyle spor eğitimi almış kişilerin Gençlik ve Spor Genel Müdürlüğü
(GSGM) teşkilâtında doğrudan görev alması sağlanmalıdır. Ayrıca il ve ilçe belediyelerinde
“Spor Müdürlükleri” kurularak bu birimlerde de istihdam gerçekleştirilmelidir.

The purpose of this study was to find out ‘to get into a job’ problem of persons
those graduated from physical education and sports departments of universities
and new job opportunities. The participation and guiding of people to sports activities
are related with the job opportunities of the persons those educated at physical
education and sports area. Quality and quantity of employees with the quality of
producing activity and programs are effective in sports associations. The system, in
this way, depends on well-educated persons to serve sports activities with other factors.
Therefore, the achievements of aims of sports associations or organizations are
succeeded by well-educated persons with other factors. But today’s results put forwards
that, persons educated in physical education and sports area, are not employed
in a balanced way to fulfill the needs of Turkey.
The study was conducted on the two university students and with the literature.
The states of getting a job after the graduation of students applied to the Exams
of School of Physical Education and Sports of Afyon Kocatepe University and to
get into a job of the graduates of School of Physical Education and Sports of Ondokuz
Mayıs University were questioned. In this way, 280 applicants of School of
Physical Education and Sports of Afyon Kocatepe University (year of 2006) and
200 students of School of Physical Education and Sports of Ondokuz Mayıs University
(year of 2008) were involved in the study. Questionnaire was used as data gathering
tool. Chi Square test, percent and frequency tests were used for statistical
analysis and the significance value was set as 0.005. The expectations of the students of School of Physical Education and Sports
on the getting into a job after the graduation were differed significantly according to
their class grades. The expectations were getting weaker with the increasing class
grades. But, the applicants before the starting the school did not have any important
doubt about getting into a job.
There are some possible solution ways to solve this employment problem as;
National Ministry of Education could assign “sports branches teacher profession”,
and there could be “sports serving class” by the change in the Law number 657, and
persons educated in physical education and sports area could be employed in Youth
and Sports General Directorate by changing the Law number 3289.
