В статье сформулировано значение ценностей Европейского союза. Исследовано способ их защиты от нарушений со стороны государств-членов ЕС. Проанализирован порядок применения статьи 7 Договора о Европейском союзе. Определена процедура применения превентивного механизма. Сформулировано процедуру приостановления членства государства-нарушителя.

The article formulates the importance of values of the European Union. The method of their protection against violations by the EU member states has been investigated. The article discusses the application of Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union. The procedure of application of preventive mechanism is determined.
