20. yüzyılın sonlarında tanıştığımız kavram karikatürleri, gerek görselliğiyle gerekse düşündürücü yönüyle öğrencilerin derslerde bilişsel ve duyuşsal olarak gelişimlerine katkı sağlayan öğretim materyalleridir. Eğitim ve öğretimde yöntem ve materyal çeşitliliği, öğrenmenin anlamlılığı açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bu nedenle derse aktif katılımı sağlama, konuyu günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirme, argümantasyon amaçlı kullanılabilme gibi pek çok özelliği bulunan kavram karikatürlerinin kullanımının alan yazın için önemli bir katkısı olacağı düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada; Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi dersinde kavram karikatürlerinin kullanılmasının önemi ve hâlihazırdaki ders kitaplarının (ilköğretim 4. sınıf) konu açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Literatür tarama yoluyla kavram karikatürlerine yönelik literatür taranmış ve ilgili ders kitabının incelenmesi suretiyle de gerekli bilgiler elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu incelemede kavram karikatürlerine ilgili ders kitaplarında yer verilmediği tespit edilmiştir. Ders kitaplarında kavram karikatürlerinin kullanılması üzerine de bir takım öneriler getirilmiştir.

The concept cartoons that we met at the end of the 20th century are the teaching materials that contribute to the cognitive and affective development of the students in terms of their visual and thought-provoking aspects. The variety of methods and materials in education and training is important in terms of the significance of learning. Therefore, it is thought that the use of concept cartoons which have many features such as providing active participation to the course, associating the subject with daily life and being able to use for argumentation purposes will make a significant contribution to the literature. In this study; The aim of this course is to examine the importance of using concept cartoons in the course of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge and to examine the current course books (4th grade) in terms of subject. The literature on the concept cartoons was searched through literature search and the necessary information was obtained by analyzing the related textbook. In this study, it is determined that concept cartoons are not included in the related textbooks. Some suggestions have been made on the use of concept cartoons in textbooks
