Kur’an-ı Kerim, klasik Türk edebiyatının temel kaynaklarından biridir. Türkçe satır arası Kur’an çevirileriyle başlayan bu ilgi;
ayet, sure ve Kur’an tefsirleriyle devam eder. Kur’an-ı Kerim’de zengin bir çağrışım imkânı yakalayan bu edebiyatta, Kur’an
ayetleri telmih ve iktibas yoluyla kullanılır. Kur’an’da geçen birçok kıssaya telmih yoluyla yer verildiği gibi bu kıssalar birçok
edebî türe de kaynaklık eder. Ayrıca Kur’an’ın kendisi bir edebî teşbih unsuru olarak birçok benzetmeye konu olur. Sayıları
sınırlı da olsa Kur’an’daki sure ve ayetlerin tercüme ve tefsirlerini ihtiva eden ya da Kur’an surelerinin isminin nazmedildiği
manzumeler de kaleme alınmıştır. Sure isimlerinin nazmedildiği manzumelerde sure adlarının ezberlenmesini kolaylaştırmak
ve surelerin sahip oldukları bir takım hususiyetleri kavratmak hedeflenirken tercüme ve tefsirlerde sure ve ayetlerin
faziletlerinin anlaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu tarz eserlerin büyük çoğunluğu, Kur’an’ın bütününden ziyade Kur’an’daki bazı
sure ve ayetlerin faziletlerine hasredilmiştir.
Diyarbakır Ziya Gökalp Yazma Eser Kütüphanesi 516 numarada Medhu Kur’âni ‘Azîmi’ş-şân ve bihi nesta‘în başlığıyla kayıtlı
olan şiir, bütün olarak Kur’an’ın faziletlerinden söz eden methiye türünde bir manzumedir. 52 dörtlükten müteşekkil bu
manzume, sadece belirli sure ya da ayetlerin değil, bir bütün olarak Kur’an’ı Kerim’in faziletlerinden söz etmesi yönüyle
ehemmiyetlidir. Kur’an-ı Kerim’i tercüme ya da tefsir etmeye dönük olmayan bu manzumede, doğrudan Kur’an’ın
faziletlerinden, okunma adabından, şefaatinden, Kur’an okumanın ve öğretmenin ecrinden, hükümlerine riayet etmenin
ehemmiyetinden söz edilir.
Bu çalışmada Medhu Kur’âni ‘Azîmi’ş-şân ve bihi nesta‘în isimli manzume tanıtılacak ve şiirin çeviri yazılı metni verilecektir.

Qur’an is one of the essential source of classical Turkish literature. This interest, starting with the translation of Qur’an into
Turkish, continues with verse, surahs and interpretation of Qur’an. In this lirerature which provides an opportunity a rich
connotation in the Qur’an, Qur’an verses are used through truism and quotation. As many parables being in Qur’an are
included through truism, these parables also help many literary genres. In addition, the Qur’an itself is subject to many
analogies as an element of literary simile. Even if the numbers of them are limited, the praises, involving translation and
interpretation of surah and verses in the Qur’an or the name of Qur’an surah have been written up, as well. While it is aimed
to facilitate the memorization of the names of surah and to get through to a set specialities of surahs in the praises involved
the names of surah, it has been aimed to be understood virtues of surah and verses in the translation and interpretation. A
great of majority of these kind of works have been confined virtues of some surah and verses in the Qur’an rather than the
whole Qur’an.
At number 516 of Diyarbakır Ziya Gökalp Writing Work Library, the poetry registered by name of Medhu Kur’âni Azîmi’ş-şân
ve bihi nesta’în is a praise in the form of eulogy mentioned about virtues of Qur’an as a whole. This praise, composed of 52
stanzas is important in that not to mention only certain sura hor verse, but to refer to virtues of the Qur’an as a whole. In
this praise which is not intended to translate or interpret the Qur’an, it is directly treated of the virtues of Qur’an, manners
of reading, intercession, reward of reading and teaching of Qur’an and importance of obeying rules.
In this study, the praise called Medhu Kur’âni Azîmi’ş-şân ve bihi nesta’in will be introduced and translated written text of
poem will be given.
