Bu çalışmada ortaokul 8. sınıf basit makinalar ünitesi, eğik düzlem konusuna yönelik öğretim materyali geliştirilmiş ve bu materyalin öğretimde kullanılmasına yönelik öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Nitel araştırma altında yer alan özel durum yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışma, 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören 38 öğrenci ve 10 fen bilimleri öğretmeni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerle araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmış ve içerik analizi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğretmenler materyalin 8. sınıf seviyesine uygun olduğunu, öğrencilerin kendi başına kullanabilecekleri nitelikte ve anlaşılır şekilde hazırlanmış olduğunu, içeriğe uygun, konunun kavratılmasında etkili, ders süresi yönünden uygun ve öğrencilerin derse karşı ilgisini arttırıcı olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Öğrenciler ise materyalin öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırdığını, kullanımının basit olduğunu ve kendi başlarına kullanabilecekleri nitelikte olduğunu, ayrıca fen öğretiminde diğer konularda da materyal kullanılmasının yararlı olacağını belirtmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak öğrenciler ve öğretmenler, geliştirilen materyalin fen bilimleri dersinde kullanılmasının uygun olacağını düşünmektedirler.

In this study, material for inclined plane subject in secondary school 8th-grade simple machine unit was developed, opinions of teachers and students about the use of the material in teaching were taken. The case study which is one of the qualitative research designs was used in this study. The study group included 38 students in 8th grade and 10 science teachers. The data were collected through the interview form developed by the researchers with semi-structured interviews and were analyzed by content analysis. Teachers participating in the study think that the material is convenient for the 8th grade level; was prepared in a way that is understandable and could be used by students on their own, is appropriate to the content, effective in making subject comprehensible, suitable for the duration of the lesson and increasing the interest of the students towards the course. The students indicated that the material facilitated learning, its use was simple and they could use it on their own and it would be useful to use material on other subjects in science teaching. In conclusion, students and teachers think that it is appropriate to use the developed material in the science course.
