Günümüzden 30-40 yıl önce, geleneksel Türk çocuk oyunlarının öğretilmesi konusunda özel bir çabaya gerek yoktu çünkü bu oyunlar, tüm kuralları, eğlencesi ve coşkusu ile birlikte nesillerden nesillere aktarılmaktaydı. Ancak, bugün ne yazık ki son çıkan teknolojiler ve onun getirdiği eğlence araçlarından yararlanarak oyunlar oynayan çocuklar henüz kısa bir süre önce anne ve babalarının oynadıkları oyunları artık bilmemektedirler. Bu unutuşa ve kopuşa neden olan teknoloji, ironik bir şekilde geleneksel Türk çocuk oyunlarının öğretilmesi için de kullanılabilir. Bu bağlamda çizgi filmler hemen hemen tüm çocukların severek izledikleri bir eğlence ve eğitim aracıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, geleneksel Türk çocuk oyunlarını öğreten çizgi filmleri, stop motion animasyonun bir türevi olan hamur animasyon yöntemi ile hazırlayarak bunu bir yöntem olarak eğitimcilere sunmak ve bu konuda katılımcı görüşlerini almaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, Çukurova Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri bölümünde araştırmacı tarafından verilen Eğitimde Grafik ve Canlandırma dersini alıp, bu ders kapsamında eğitsel animasyon hazırlamış olan 96 öğrenciye bir anket uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak katılımcılar, proje süresince çoğunlukla takım arkadaşları ile uyum içerisinde çalıştıklarını, bilgisayar bilgisi açısından sorun yaşamayıp, öğretim elemanının yeterince destek sağladığını, stop motion animasyon hazırlamanın zorluklarının yanı sıra eğlenceli ve öğretici olduğunu ve sonuçta ortaya çıkan üründen memnun kaldıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Ayrıca, bu tarz animasyonların hedef kitlesi olan okul öncesi öğrencilerin pedagojisine uygun olduğunu ve gelecekte benzeri projeleri gerçekleştireceklerini belirtmişlerdir. Bu çalışmanın geleneksel Türk çocuk oyunlarının yeni nesillere öğretilmesi konusunda eğitimcilere özellikle de okul öncesi ve ilköğretim öğretmenlerine yarar sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

A few decades ago, a specific effort was not required to teach traditional Turkish children’s game since they were transferred from generations to generations with all their rules, joy, and enthusiasm. However, today the children, who play games through cutting-edge technology and entertainment devices, now have no idea about the games their parents used to play a relatively short time ago. The technology, which caused this oblivion and the gap, can be ironically used to teach the traditional Turkish children’s game. In this concept, cartoon films are entertainment and education tools watched and loved by almost all children. The purpose of this study is to create sample clay animation films that teach traditional Turkish children’s game and to present them to the educators as a method and gather participants’ views. In accordance with this purpose, a questionnaire was administered to 96 students who have taken Graphics and Animation in Education course presented by the researcher in Computer and Educational Technology department, Faculty of Education in Çukurova University and who have created instructional animation in the scope of this course. As results, participants stated that they harmoniously worked with their partners during the project period, experienced no computer-based problems, gained sufficient support from the instructor, besides its hardship, they found stop motion animation fun and instructive, and they were happy about the product at the end. Additionally, they found such animations complying with the pedagogy of pre-school students and they wished to realize such projects in the future. This study can be considered to provide benefit for educators; especially for the teachers of pre-school and primary school in order to teach traditional Turkish children’s game to new generations.
