Keloğlan masallarındaki ceza unsurlarının incelendiği çalışma doküman analizi deseniyle yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri iki aşamada toplanmıştır. İlk olarak çalışmada incelenecek dokümanların belirlenmesi amacıyla başlığında Keloğlan geçen masallara ulaşılmıştır. Akabinde Keloğlan masalları ile ilgili kitaplar gözden geçirilmiş ve içeriğinde en çok ceza unsurunu barındıran Tahir Alangu’ ya ait on dokuz masal bu doğrultuda incelenmek üzere seçilmiştir. Sonraki süreçte kitapta yer alan masallar taşıdıkları ceza şekillerine göre fişlenmiş ve tasnif edilmiştir. Yapılan tasnif sonrası masallardaki ceza şekillerinin beş kategori altında incelenmesi uygun görülmüş ve bulgular kısmında bu kategorilere örnek cümleler ve tablolar eşliğinde yer verilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda toplumda kabul edilmiş bir karakter olsa dahi Keloğlan adının geçtiği tüm masalların uygun içerikli olmadığı, bazı masalların çocukların ruh dünyasına uygun olmayan ceza şekilleri ve şiddet içeriklerini taşıdığı, masalların çocuklarda birtakım olumsuz davranışlara yol açabilecek unsurlara yer verildiği tespit edilmiştir.

The study which examines punishment elements in Keloglan tales was actualized
through document analysis design . The data of the study were collected in two stages. Firstly,
the fairy tales with the title of Keloglan were reached in order to determine the documents to
be examined in the study. Subsequently, the books about the tales of Keloglan were revised
and the nineteenth story of Tahir Alangu, which contained the most punitive elements selected
for investigation. In the following process, the tales in the book were encoded and classified
according to the types of punishment that they carried. After the classification, it was found
appropriate to examine the punishment forms in the fairy tales under five categories and these
categories were given in the finding section with sample sentences and tables. According to
the findings, it was determined that all the tales that mentioned with the name of Keloglan
were lack of proper content despite being an accepted character in society, some of the tales
carried the forms of punishment and violence that are not suitable for the children’s world,
and the tales were given some elements that could lead to some negative behaviors in children
