Bu araştırmada ailesinde engelli birey bulunan ve bir okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden beş-altı yaş çocuklarının sosyal beceri ve problem davranışlarının farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, ailesinde engelli birey bulunan ve okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden 5-6 yaş arası 17 kız ve 26 erkek, toplam 43 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma ilişkisel tarama modelinde olup, araştırma verileri Merrel (1994) tarafından geliştirilen PKBS Okul Öncesi ve Anaokulu Davranış Ölçeği ve demografik bilgi formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS 16.0 sosyal bilimler için veri analizi paket programı kullanılarak, T-testi, ANOVA ve Kruskal Wallis Testi işlemleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularından ulaşılan genel sonuç; ailesinde engelli birey bulunan beş-altı yaş çocuklarının sosyal becerileri ve problem davranışları, engelli bireyin engel türüne göre farklılaşma göstermiştir; cinsiyet, kardeş sayısı ve engelli bireyin doğum sırası değişkenlerine göre bir farklılık göstermemiştir.

In this study, the aim is to examine through different variables the social abilities and problem behaviors of the five-six aged children who have handicapped individuals in their families and is attending a preschool education institution. The sample of the research is 5-6 years old 43 children in Konya, attending a preschool education institution connected to the Board of Education, 17 of whom are female, and 26 male. The research data has been collected using the PKPS Preschool and Kindergarten Behavior Scales developed by Merrell (1994) and demographic information form. To analyze the data, T-test, ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis analysis were applied using SPSS 16.0 data analysis for social sciences package program. At the end of the research it was found that there is no significant difference among the variables like gender, birth order, number of siblings, number of individuals in family and the identity of the handicapped person and the social ability and problem behaviors of the preschool children who have a handicapped individual in their families. When the social ability and problem behaviors are examined according to the type of disability in the families of the preschool children, while there are significant difference regarding the type of disability.
