Turizm eğitimi veren okullar öğrencilerinin turizm endüstrisinde istihdam edilebilmelerine katkıda bulunmaktadırlar. Bundan dolayı geleceğin turizm çalışanları olacak öğrencilerin turizme bakış açıları önem kazanmaktadır. Turizm, özellikle yapıldığı bölgeye ekonomik açıdan önemli katma değerler sağlamaktadır. Sivas İli’nin sahip olmuş olduğu zengin alternatif turizm kaynakları bu ekonomik faydadan kendine düşen payı alması açısından önemli fırsatları barındırmaktadır. Bu çalışma turizmin özellikle ekonomik, sosyal, çevresel ve kültürel faydalarının turizm öğrencileri tarafından nasıl algılandığı ve turizm öğrencilerinin turizmin gelişmesi için ne gibi öneriler sundukları ile ilgilidir. Araştırmanın temel amacı turizm eğitimi alan üniversite öğrencilerinin Sivas’a yönelik turizm algılarını belirlemek ve önerilerini almaktır.
Araştırmada nicel yöntem kullanılmış olup veriler yüz yüze anket yöntemi uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Anket uygulaması Sivas’ta eğitim- öğretim hayatına devam eden turizm önlisans ve lisans öğrencilerine yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmada öğrencilere 147 anket uygulanmış ve 147 veri toplanmıştır. Bu veriler SPSS 23 (AMOS 23) Paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir (SPSS programı, Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Kampüs Lisanslıdır). Çalışmada Kasti (Kararsal) Örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ilk etapta konuya ilişkin alan yazı taranmış daha sonra anket uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Çalışmanın ana kütlesini Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi’nde turizm eğitimi alan üniversite öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulardan turizm eğitimi almış öğrencilerin turizmin Sivas Şehri’ne olan ekonomik, sosyal, çevresel ve kültürel katkısına yönelik algılamalarının pozitif olduğu sonucu elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcılar turizmin şehre önemli katkıları olduğunu düşünmektedirler. Araştırma sonucunda turizm öğrencilerinin turizme bakış açıları ve algıları olumlu olarak tespit edilmiştir.

Schools of providing tourism education that they contribute students to be employed in the tourism industry. Therefore, the tourism perspective of the students who will be future tourism workers becomes important. Tourism provides significant added value to , in particular, the region in terms of economy. The rich alternative tourism resources that Sivas Province has had important opportunities in terms of getting its share from this economic benefit. This study is concerned with how tourism students perceive tourism, especially its economic, social, environmental and cultural benefits, and how tourism students offer suggestions for the development of tourism.
The main purpose of the study is to determine the tourism perceptions of Sivas university students who educating in tourism department and also to take their suggestions for developing the tourism in Sivas. Quantitative method was used in the research and data were obtained by applying face to face survey method. The questionnaire was applied to the tourism vocational school students and tourism faculty students in Cumhuriyet University. In this study, 147 questionnaires were applied to the students and 147 data were collected. These data were analyzed by SPSS 23 (AMOS 23) package program (SPSS , Cumhuriyet University Campus Licensed). Purposive sampling method was used in the study. At the first stage of the research, the literature to the subject was scanned and then the questionnaire was applied.
The main bulk of the work is the university students who receive tourism education in Cumhuriyet University, Sivas. It has been concluded that the perceptions of tourism-educated students regarding the economic, social, environmental and cultural contribution of tourism to Sivas Province are positive. Participants also think that tourism is an important contributor to the city. As a result of the research, the tourism perspectives and perceptions of the tourism students were determined positively.
