Elektronik iletişim ağı olarak tanımlanan İnternet, bilgisayar ağlarını ve birçok bilgisayar sistemini birbirine bağlar. İnte rnetin
olumlu yönlerinin yanı sıra olumsuz yönlerinin de olduğu bugün bilinen bir gerçektir. Buna rağmen İnternet kullanımı,
günümüzde vazgeçilmez bir hale gelmiştir. İnternet amacı doğrultusunda kullanıldığında bilgiye kolay ve hızlı bir şekilde
ulaşma imkânı sağlar. Böylece, öğrencilere bilgilerini arttırmada zengin bir öğrenme ortamı sağlamış olur. Bu çalışmada,
Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Teknik Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu Elektrik ve Enerji Bölümü öğrencilerinin İnternet
kullanımına yönelik tutumları bir anketle araştırılmış; bu tutumları etkileyen öğrenim gördüğü program, meslek
yüksekokuluna giriş şekli, ağırlıklı genel not ortalaması ve İnternet erişimi olma faktörleri incelenmiştir. Ankete katılan 1. ve
2. sınıf 168 öğrencinin 141’i Elektrik Programı öğrencisi, 27’si ise Doğalgaz Tesisatı ve Teknolojisi Programı öğrencisidir.
Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %62’sinin kendisine ait İnternet bağlantısının olduğu bulunmuştur. Kendisine ait İnternet’i
olan öğrencilerin başarı durumları incelendiğinde ağırlıklı genel not ortalaması 3-4 arası olan öğrencilerin %76.92’sinin
İnternet’i 4 saatten fazla kullandığı belirlenmiştir. Bu durum İnternet’i amacı doğrultusunda kullanmanın başarıya yapmış
olduğu katkıyı ortaya çıkarmaktadır.

The Internet, defined as an electronic communications network, connects computer networks and many computer systems
each other. Today it is a known fact that the Internet has positive aspects as well as negative aspects. Internet usage has
become an indispensable part of our lives nowadays. When used in a purposeful manner, Internet provides easy and quick
access to the information. This provides a rich learning environment for students to increase their knowledge. In this study,
Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Vocational School of Technical Sciences Department of Electrical and Energy students’
attitudes towards Internet usage were investigated with a survey and the factors (program, the type of entry into the
vocational school, the weighted general grade average and having Internet access) that affect these attitudes were
examined. Of the 168 students who participated in the survey, from 1st and 2nd grade consisting of 141 Electrical Program
students and 27 Natural Gas Installation and Technology Program students. It is found that 62% of the students who
participated in the survey have their own Internet connection. When the success status of the students with their own
Internet connection are examined, it is determined that 76.92% of the students with a weighted general grade average of 3-4 use more than 4 hours of Internet. This situation reveals the contribution to success that the use of Internet in the direc tion
of aim.
