Güzel sanatlar lisesi öğrencilerinin çağdaş sanat kavramına yönelik metaforik algılarını belirlemek için hazırlanan çalışmada 2023-2024 eğitim- öğretim yılında Türkiye’nin kuzey bölgesinde bulunan iki güzel sanatlar lisesinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler belirlenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim modeli kullanılan çalışmada öğrenciler amaçlı örnekleme yoluyla seçilmişlerdir. Çalışmada veri toplama formu hazırlanmış ve öğrencilere uygulama yapılmıştır. Çalışmada ilk olarak güzel sanatlar lisesi öğrencilerin çağdaş sanat kavramına yönelik metaforik algılarını belirlemeye yönelik hazırlanan görüşme formları öğrencilere verildi. Öğrencilere formu doldurmaları için belirli süre verildi ve öğrencilerin doldurdukları görüşme formları toplandı. Toplanan görüşme formundaki veriler kodlanarak kategoriler ve temalar oluşturuldu. Çalışmaya 54 öğrenci katılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin 45’i kız ve 9’u erkektir. Öğrenciler farklı sınıf seviyelerinde öğrenim görmektedirler. Çalışma sonucunda toplam 27 farklı metafor elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlarda öğrencilerin 16’sı çağdaş sanatı çağ ve tarih kavramlarına metaforik olarak benzetirken 9 öğrenci yenilik ve ilerleme kavramlarına benzetmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular alanyazını destelerken çalışmada alanyazına özgün sonuçlar sunarak çağdaş sanat algısının öğrenciler arasındaki çeşitliliğini ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışma, alanyazına çağdaş sanat kavramına yönelik metaforik algıların belirlenmesine dair önemli katkı sağlamaktadır.

In the study prepared to determine the metaphorical perceptions of fine arts high school students towards the concept of contemporary art, students studying at two fine arts high schools located in the northern region of Turkey in the 2023-2024 academic year were determined. In the study, which used the phenomenological model from qualitative research methods, students were selected through purposive sampling. A data collection form was prepared in the study and the application was made to the students. In the study, firstly, the interview forms prepared to determine the metaphorical perceptions of fine arts high school students towards the concept of contemporary art were given to the students. The students were given a certain amount of time to fill out the form and the interview forms filled out by the students were collected. The data in the collected interview form was coded and categories and themes were created. 54 students participated in the study. 45 of the students who participated in the study were girls and 9 were boys. The students were studying at different grade levels. A total of 27 different metaphors were obtained as a result of the study. In the results obtained,16 of the students metaphorically likened contemporary art to the concepts of age and history, while 9 students likened it to the concepts of innovation and progress. The findings obtained from the study support the literature and present original resultsin the study, revealing the diversity of contemporary art perception among students. The study makes an important contribution to the literature in terms of determining metaphorical perceptions towards the concept of contemporary art.
