Çalışmada, ilköğretim öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde drama yönteminin kullanılmasına ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla; 20 ilköğretim altıncı sınıf öğrencisiyle sürdürülen çalışmada dersler beş hafta boyunca drama yöntemine uygun olarak işlenmiş ve süreç sonunda yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre öğrenciler, drama yapmaktan hoşlandıklarını ve drama yönteminin Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde kullanılması gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. Bunun yanında öğrenciler drama yöntemi sayesinde, arkadaşlık ilişkilerinin arttığını ve Fen dersini daha fazla sevdiklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Bu sonuçlardan yola çıkarak Fen ve Teknoloji derslerinde drama yönteminin kullanılmasına ilişkin bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The present study aimed to identify elementary students’ opinions about using the drama method in science and technology course. To this end, 20 elementary sixth-grade students were taught the course for five weeks in accordance with the drama method and semi-structured interviews were held at the end of the process. The data obtained from the study were analyzed by content analysis. According to the reuslts obtained, the students stated that they liked acting and the drama method should be employed in Science and Technology course. In addition, the students also stated that the drama method promoted their friendships and made them like the science course more. In the light of these results, certain suggestions are made about the use of drama method in science and technology course.
