Ağızlar; kitle iletişim araçlarının yaygınlaşması, eğitim düzeyinin yükselmesi, köyden şehre göç gibi sebeplerle yok olma tehlikesi altındadır. Bu sebeple, ağızların söz varlığına dair tespit edilip kayda geçirilen her bir kelime, deyim, atasözü, her bir ağız özelliği çok önemlidir. Bu yazıda Burdur ilinin Çavdır ilçesi ağzı üzerinde durulacaktır. İlk olarak Çavdır ağzının Derleme Sözlüğü’nde yer almayan 141 sözü ortaya konulmuştur. Daha sonra ise Çavdır ağzının Derleme Sözlüğü’ne göre farklı anlama sahip 36 kelimesi tespit edilmiştir. Çavdır ağzında kullanılan ancak Derleme Sözlüğü’nde Çavdır ağzı ibaresi olmayan 52 sözcüğe de yer verilmiştir. Çavdır ağzının söz varlığını tespit ederken amacımız, ağız araştırmalarına ve ağız atlası oluşturma çalışmalarına katkıda bulunabilmektir.

The dialects are under threat of extinction for reasons such as the proliferation of mass media, the rise of the education level and the migration from villages to the cities. Therefore, each word, phrase, proverb, and each of the dialect properties that are detected and registered relating to the lexicon of the dialects are very important. In this study, the dialect of Burdur city’s Chavdir district is considered. Firstly, 141 words from Chavdir dialect that are not included in the eclectic dictionary are presented. Then, 36 words of Chavdir dialect that have different meanings than the eclectic dictionary are identified. Also, 52 more words that are used in Chavdir dialect but are not phrased as Chavdir dialect in the eclectic dictionary are considered. The aim of this study while researching the lexicon of the Chavdir dialect is to contribute to the dialect researches and to the works on making up the dialect atlas.
