Araştırmada öğretmen görüşlerine yönelik, “ilkokul ve ortaokullarda uygulanmakta olan sosyal kulüp çalışmalarının işlevleri amacına ulaşmakta mıdır? ” sorusuna bağlı olarak sosyal kulüplerin işlevleri ; “sosyal, eğitsel ve ekonomik boyutta amacına ulaşmakta mıdır?” ve “bireysel ve disiplinsel boyutta amacına ulaşmakta mıdır?” alt boyutlarında incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın evrenini 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılı II. döneminde Van ili merkezinde ilk ve ortaokullardaki öğretmenler, örneklemini ise bu okullardaki basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemiyle belirlenen 412 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Araştırma tarama modelinde yapılmıştır. Veriler, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “Sosyal Kulüplerin İşlevlerini Belirleme Ölçeği” ile toplanmış ve istatistik paket programlar ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın analizinde Non-parametrik test uygulamalarından Mann Whitney-U ve Kruskall Wallis testi uygulanmıştır. Sonuçta öğretmenler, sosyal kulüplerin işlevlerinin amacına ulaşıp ulaşmadığına yönelik orta düzeyde olumlu görüş bildirmişlerdir. Öğretmenlerin görüşleri cinsiyet, branş, kıdem, fakülte türü, sosyal etkinliklere katılma sıklığı ve sosyal içerikli projede yer alma değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşırken, öğrenim durumu değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılaşma bulunmamıştır.

In this study, the functions of social clubs depending upon the question "Do social club activities implemented in primary and secondary schools reach their aims on students?" and "Do social, educative and financial functions of social clubs reach their aims?" and "Do individual and disciplinal functions of social clubs reach their aims?" sub-dimensions are examined. The teachers, who work in Van city centre primary and secondary schools in 2012-2013 academic year, form target population of the study. Sample of the study is 412 teachers working at those schools and determined by simple random sampling. The study is prepared eligibly to scanning model. Data were obtained by researcher via "Determining the Function of Social Clubs Scale" that was prepared by asking expert opinion. Data obtained by the scale, were analyzed with statistics package software, Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis test that are Non- parametric test, were used in the analysis of the study. Consequently, teachers have expressed medium positive level opinions about whether functions of social clubs reach their aims or not. While the opinions of teachers differentiate meaningly according to variables such as gender, speciality, seniority, alma mater, frequency of attending social activities and being a member of a social project, there isn't a meaningful difference according to educational background variable.
