Öğrencilerin istenilen hedeflere ulaştırılması için ders kitapları önemli araçlardır.
Ancak yayımlanarak kullanılan bir ders kitabının eğitim sisteminin hedeflerini kapsamakta
eksiklikleri bulunabilir. Yapılacak incelemelerle ders kitaplarının eksikliklerinin tespit edilerek
düzeltilmesine, olumlu yönlerinin belirlenerek geliştirilmesine yardımcı olunması suretiyle,
bu önemli araçların öğrencileri belirlenen hedeflere ulaştırmada daha başarılı olmalarını
sağlamak gerekir. Bu çalışmada 2006 Türkçe Dersi Öğretim Programı’na göre hazırlanan
Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı, Koza, Pasifik ve Özgün Yayıncılık’ a ait dört ders kitabındaki Atatürk
teması içerik ve nicelik bakımından betimsel tarama yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan
araştırmada, ders kitaplarının programın hedeflerine tam olarak uymadığı tespit edilmiştir.
Tespit edilen yönler bulgular kısmında açıklanmıştır. Bulgulara dayanarak, ders kitaplarının
programda uygun görülen konular ve türlerin kesiştiği metinler bulmakta sıkıntıya düştüğü
görülmüştür.

Textbooks are very important tools to make students reaching the desired goals. But, there
may be deficiencies in published and used textbooks. With the investigations it is need and
possible to identify and correct the textbooks, to help investigating the textbooks by determining
the positive directions of them, and so, it is needed to provide them to be more successful
about the work. In this study, Atatürk themes in four different 7 th class Turkish textbook which
prepeared according to the 2006 Turkish Course Teaching Syllabus are evaluated in terms of
quantity and topics. Four textbooks are belong to Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı, Koza, Pasifik and
Özgün Publishings. This study, identfied that, textbooks are not complying to the desired goals
in Teaching Syllabus. This identifies are explained in the Findings Section. According to the
findings, we observed that, textbooks are falling on evil days to find both in the same text “the
topic and needed text types”
