Bu çalışmada, fizik öğretmenlerinin bağlam temelli fizik problemleri hakkındaki
algılamalarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu, çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü
olan toplam 27 fizik öğretmeninden oluşturulmuştur. Veriler açık uçlu sorularla toplanmış
olup analizleri sürecinde içerik analizi yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Ulaşılan bulgular
öğretmenlerin, bağlam temelli problemin ne olduğuyla ve nasıl hazırlanmasıyla ilgili yeterli
bilgilerinin olmadığını ortaya koymuştur. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle, çalışmaya
katılan öğretmenlerin konuyla ilgili derslerindeki olası uygulamaların rastgele olduğu
sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sonuçlar ışığında yürütülen veya yürütülecek hizmet içi uygulamalarda
öğretmenlerin yeterliliklerini artıracak tedbirlerin alınması önerilmiştir.

The objective of this study was to investigate physics teachers’ understandings of context-
based physics problems. The sampling of the study consisted of a total of 27 physics teachers
who were volunteers for participation
.
The data were collected through open-ended questions,
and content analysis method was utilized for the interpretation of the data. The results of the
study indicated that the teachers did not possess sufficient knowledge about what context-based
problem is and how it is constructed. The study was also concluded that teachers may carry
out their applications in courses randomly. In the light of the results, it is suggested to take
measures to increase teachers’ competence with in-service applications.
