Okul öncesi dönem, çocuklarının kişiliklerinin şekillendiği önemli bir dönemdir. Öğrenme
süreçlerinde dış mekânın eğitim ortamı olarak kullanılması, çocukların fiziksel, sosyal,
duygusal ve bilişsel gelişimlerini destekleyici önemli bir araçtır. Bu alanlar çocuk gelişimini
destekleyecek şekilde disiplinler arası bir çalışmayla, çocukların, velilerin, okul yönetiminin
beklentileri de göz önünde bulundurularak şekillendirilmelidir. Çocuk katılımı bu sürecin
önemli bir boyutudur. Kendi haklarını savunabilen, başkalarının hakkına saygı duyan, işbirliği
yapabilme bilinci gelişmiş, paylaşımcı, kendi yeteneklerinin farkında olan, kendini özgürce
ifade edebilen birer bireyler yetiştirmek için çocukların aktif katılımı önemlidir.
Bu teknik not kapsamında, doğa dostu ve çocuk katılım temelli bir anlayışla geliştirilen ve
okul öncesi eğitimde kalitenin arttırılmasına yönelik öneri projeye ilişkin değerlendirme, görüş
ve bilginin konuyla ilgili uzmanlarla paylaşımını hedeflenmektedir.

Preschool period is an important period that personalities of children are formed. Using
exteriors as the education environment during the learning process is an important tool
supporting the physical, social, emotional and cognitive developments of children. These areas
must be shaped so as to support the development of children through multidisciplinary efforts, by also taking expectations of children, parents and school administration. Participation of
children is an important aspect of these efforts. Active participation of children is important
for raising participative individuals with well-developed consciousness for co-operation and
who are able to protect their own rights, who respect others’ rights, and who are aware of their
own capabilities.
Within the scope of this technical note, it is aimed to assess and to share opinions and
information with the experts for the proposed project which is developed with a nature-friendly
understanding based on children’s participation with an objective of increasing the quality of
preschool education.
