Bu çalışmada Tokat ili Çamağzı köyü, Çamağzı İlköğretim Okulunda
uygulanan Toplam Kalite Yönetimi ve sonuçları ele alınmıştır. Süreç olarak
01.09.2003–01.01.2006 tarihleri ele alınmıştır. Toplam Kalite Yönetimi’ni süreç
yönetimi olarak kabul edildiğinde, 25 ay gibi bir sürede okulun geçirdiği
değişim ve sonuçlar bu yönetim tarzının etkilerini ortaya koymaktadır. Kısa
dönemli ve uzun dönemli stratejik hedeflere ulaşılma okulda çalışanlar ve
okuldan etkilenen tüm iç ve dış paydaşlar açısından motivasyon aracı
olmuştur. Süreç sonucunda okul, TKY ödül sürecinde Tokat ilinde yılın kaliteli
okulu seçilmiştir. Araştırma nitel bir araştırmadır, aynı okulda okul müdürü
olarak çalışan ve yayını hazırlayan yazarın gözlemleri örnek olay incelemesi
yöntemiyle ele alınarak tartışılmış ve öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

This study handles the application and consequences of Total Quality Management in Çamağzı Primary School in Çamağzı Village of Tokat province. The application covers the time period between 1 September, 2003 and 1 January, 2006. Considered the Total Quality Management as process management, the changes the school has passed through in a period of 25 months and the results clearly display the effects of this management style.
Achieving the short- and long-term goals became a means of motivation for the staff and all internal and external parties affected by the school. At the end of the process, the school was chosen the most qualified school of the year in the province of Tokat as a part of Total Quality Management rewarding process. The research is a qualitative one including the observations of the researcher who works as the principal in the same time. The observations of the researcher are discussed through case study and some suggestions are developed accordingly.
