Bu arastırma ile ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin aile içi iliskilerinin, öğrenilmis güçlülük
düzeylerini yordama gücünün belirlenmesi amaçlanmıstır. Bununla birlikte, ortaöğretim
öğrencilerinin öğrenilmis güçlülük düzeylerinin aile islevlerinin sağlıklılık durumuna göre
farklılasıp, farklılasmadığı incelenmistir. Arastırmanın örneklemini, 2006-2007 öğretim
yılında Đstanbul ili Anadolu yakasında resmi ve özel lise 10 ve 11. sınıflarında okumakta
olan 357’ si kız, 381’ i ise erkek olmak üzere toplam 738 öğrenci olusturmaktadır.
Tarama modelindeki arastırmada veri toplama aracı olarak öğrencilerin sosyodemografik
özellikleri hakkında bilgi toplamak için arastırmacı tarafından gelistirilmis
“Kisisel Bilgi Formu” nun yanında “Rosenbaum’ un Öğrenilmis Güçlülük Ölçeği” ve “Aile
Değerlendirme Ölçeği” kullanılmıstır. Arastırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin aile içi
iliskilerinin öğrenilmis güçlülük düzeylerini yordadığı, bunun yanı sıra aile içi iliskilerini
sağlıklı algılayan öğrencilerin, öğrenilmis güçlülük düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu
görülmüstür.

In this research, it is aimed to determine the prediction of learned resourcefulness of
high school students by the relationships within their families. Besides, it is inquired
whether the learned resourcefulness level of high school students differentiate
according to the healthiness of family functions. The population comprises all the
students in 10th and 11th classes of private and state schools in the Anatolian side of
Đstanbul during 2006-2007 school year. Using random sampling method, 12 schools (6
public, 6 private schools) were selected for the study. 738 students from these schools
were chosen randomly. 357 of them were females, 381 of them were males. In this
survey study, ‘personal information form’ developed by the researcher to collect data
about socio-demographic features of students, ‘Rosembaum’s Learned Resourcefulness
Scale’, and ‘McMaster Family Assessment Device’ were used to collect data. The
results of this study show that relationship within family predicts learned
resourcefulness of the students significantly. Also, the learned resourcefulness scores
of the students with healthy family functions are higher than the students with
unhealthy family functions.
