Tarama yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırma, 2005-2006 öğretim yılında Aydın ve İzmir illeri merkez
ilçelerindeki normal liselerde görev yapmakta olan Biyoloji öğretmenlerinin laboratuvar dersine
yönelik tutumlarını ve teknolojik yenilikleri izleme eğilimlerini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Veriler “Laboratuvar Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”, “Teknolojiye Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”,
öğretmenlerin laboratuvar kullanımı ve teknolojik yenilikleri izleme eğilimlerine ilişkin sorularla
toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; varyans analizi, frekans, t testi uygulanmış ve korelasyon
katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Biyoloji öğretmenlerinin laboratuvar dersine ve teknolojiye yönelik
tutumları; cinsiyetleri, yaşları, meslekteki kıdemleri, mezun oldukları yükseköğretim kurumları,
mezuniyet durumları, görev yaptıkları il, laboratuvarı ve teknolojik araç-gereçleri kullanma konusunda
hizmet içi eğitim kurslarına katılma durumları açısından incelenmiştir.

In this research the survey method was used and it was applied in 2005-2006 academic year in the
high schools of central towns of Izmir and Aydin cities. The purpose of the research was to find out the
attitudes of Biology teachers toward laboratory lesson and their tendencies to follow technological
innovations. The data was collected by means of the questions related to “The Attitude Scale Toward
Laboratory Lesson”, “The Attitude Scale Toward Technology” and the attitudes of Biology teachers
toward laboratory lesson and their tendencies to follow technological innovations. In the process of
data evaluation, variance analysis and frequency tests were applied and correlation coefficients were
also calculated. The attitudes of Biology teachers toward laboratory lesson and technological
innovations were analyzed from the points of; the gender, age of teachers and their length of service in
the profession, the universities from which they graduated and their graduation degrees and also the
cities in which they work, and finally their participation to in-service training sessions on using the
technological materials and laboratory
