Bu makalede, Atatürk’ün eğitim ile ilgili görüşlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Atatürk’ün, Yeni Türk
Eğitim Sistemini oluşturmak için yaptığı çalışmalar, fedakârlıklar, fikirler ve kişisel olarak söylevleri,
demeçleri, tavsiyeleri, tecrübeleri ve eğitim toplantılardaki yaptığı konuşmaların özüne değinilmiştir.
Atatürk dönemi eğitiminin temel hedefleri ortaya konulmuş ve bu hedeflere ulaşmak için yapılan
çalışmalara, ilkelere, prensiplere ve uygulanan yöntemlerden bahsedilmiştir.
Ayrıca Kıbrıs Türk lisesini birincilikle bitirmiş olan Kıbrıslı Mehmet Nefi Efendi’nin Türkiye’de
okumasını kolaylaştırmak üzere müsabakasız ve parasız yatılı olarak Yüksek Mühendis mektebine nasıl
kaydı yapıldığı incelenmiştir. Nafia Vekili Ali Çetinkaya’nın, Kıbrıslı Mehmet Nefi Efendi hakkında
Başvekâlete (Başbakanlık Makamına ) yazdığı resmi yazının bakanlar kurulunda kabul görmesi,
Bakanlar Kurulu’nun kararı ve Cumhurbaşkanı Gazi Mustafa kemal Paşa’nın kararnameyi
onaylaması safhaları araştırılarak elde edilen bilgi, bulgu ve belgeler ekte sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.

In this article, the ideas and opinions of Atatürk about education has been discussed. The
work that carried out by Atatürk to establish the New Turkish Education System was mentioned
harmoniously with the ideas, opinions, speeches, recommendations, advices experiences and also
the outlines of speeches delivered in the educational auditorium by Atatürk. The basic aims of the
education were introduced and in order to reach and execute the objectives of the aimed
education, the studies, researches, principles and the methods have been emphasized with in the
framework of the education target.
Our study is concerned the registration and the requirements about Cypriot Mehmet Nefi’s
education who graduated from High School with distinction and has been admitted to the Faculty
of Engineering without any examination and the boarding school upon the written request to the
Prime Minister by the Minister of Public Works Mr. Ali Cetinkaya. The petitions of Ministry of
public works to the Prime Ministry have been sent to the cabinet minister (board of ministers) and
then it has been signed by the ministers and has been implemented after the approval of the
President of the Republic of Turkey by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The outcome and written
documents procedure stage has been searched one by one and the out come of the studies and the
information has been attached with the available archive documents.
