Bu makalenin amacı; müzik öğretmeni yetiştiren kurumlarda yer alan “Müzik Teorisi ve
İşitme Eğitimi” dersinin piyano eğitimi üzerindeki etkilerini kapsamakla birlikte, öğretmen
adaylarının mesleki yaşantılarında piyanoyu iyi kullanabilmelerinin gerekliliğini, lisans programında
yer alan piyano dersinin üç yıl ( 6 yarıyıl ) zorunlu olarak alınmasında karşılaşılan sorunları ve
piyano eğitimindeki başarı ve başarısızlık durumlarını saptayarak bu derslerin lisans programındaki
yeri ve önemi açısından analizini yapmak ve genel bir değerlendirmeye varmaktır. Ayrıca bu
çalışmada, “Piyano” ve “Müzik Teorisi ve İşitme Eğitimi” dersini alan öğrencilere anket uygulaması
yapılmış olup, elde edilen veriler toplanarak işlenmiş, çözüm ve yorumlarında ise betimsel
istatistik yöntemlerden yararlanılmıştır.

The aim of this article includes the effects of the course: The Theory of Music and The
Education of Hearing, which is taught at institutions where teachers of music are educated. The
article also aims at determining and establishing the necessity of prospective teachers’ playing
the piano well in their professional careers, the problems encountered in taking the piano course
as a must course in the graduate programme for three years (6 terms), the states of success and
failure in the teaching of the piano, and therefore analysing the place and the importance of these
courses in the graduate programme and reaching an overall evaluation. Besides, in this study, the
students who take the courses of ‘The Piano’ and ‘The Theory of Music and The Education of
Hearing’ have been surveyed and the data obtained have been studied. For the solution and
comments, the descriptive statistics methods have been utilized.
