This study was done to identify teachers' opinions about the teaching
profession and the problems they meet while performing their profession. Those are
teacher who graduated from different faculties and high schools and work for the
ministry of Education as a classroom teacher.
The sample of this study consisted of 178 teacher who participated in
"Pedagogic Formation Course" in Balıkesir between He dates of 30 June and 22
August Questionnaire Forms were used to collect He data; Findings interpreted
using tables and suggestions given.
Among the problems that facet physical conditions and incompetency in
professional knowledge have taken the first place. Therefore, Ministry of National
Education and universites should consider in-service education programs as an
important aspect of teacher education.
