A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted at "Hermanos Ameijeiras" Clinical-Surgical Hospital from September 2013 to February 2014, to determine the perception of values in students from the technical level of Nursing studies. The criteria about young people do not practice the values reflected, in the first place, parents and friends. Most of the students said that the responsibility that they apply values is given parents and that Responsibility as a value occupies the first place in the hierarchy of values in Nursing. The motivation for the selection of the Nursing studies was reflected in that they always liked this profession to help those in need.
