Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi’ne bağlı yükseköğretim kurumlarının Tokat İli ekonomisine olan katkısını belirlemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışma, Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi öğrencilerini, personelini ve bölge işletmelerini kapsamaktadır. Veriler Mayıs 2012 de anket yoluyla sağlanmıştır. Verilerin yüzde analizleri ve aritmetik ortalamaları hesaplanmıştır. Öğrencilerle yapılan anket sonucunda bir öğrencinin 2012 Mart ayı itibariyle aylık geliri 646,97 TL olarak bulunmuştur. Dolayısıyla, üniversitede öğrenim gören 20.659 öğrencinin toplam aylık gelirinin de 13.365.753 TL olduğu söylenebilir. Bu tutarın yaklaşık 11.821.493 TL’si il içinde ve 1.544.260 TL’si il dışında harcanmaktadır.

This study which aims to determine the higher education institutions of
Gaziosmanpaşa University’s contribution to the economy of Tokat province covers
Gaziosmanpaşa University students, staff and regional businesses. The data is provided
through the questionnaire in May 2012. The arithmetic means and percent calculations
of the results were interpreted.The responses of the students show that the monthly
income of a student is 646.97 TL at the end of March 2012. Thus, it can be said that
20.659 university students’ total monthly income is 13.365.753 TL. Approximately
11.821.493 TL of this amount is spent within the province and approximately 1.544.260
TL is spent outside the province.
