Bu çalışmada Mihalicî Mustafa Efendi’nin Zübdetü’l-Beyân isimli eseri ele alınmıştır. Zübdetü’l-Beyân’ın ilk baskısı 1297/1880’de İstanbul’da Mihran matbaasında ve ikinci baskısı 1325/1909’da Mahmud Beg matbaasında yapılmıştır. Eserde, Meânî, Beyân ve Bedî ilimlerinden oluşan Belâgat’in Beyân şubesi anlatılmıştır. Ahmet Cevdet Paşa’nın Belâgat-ı Osmâniyyesi’nden bir yıl önce basılan Zübdetü’l-Beyân, Türkçe’de Belâgat’ın tek şubesini bütün yönleriyle ele alan tek kitaptır. Eserde Beyân’ın konularından teşbîh, istiâre, mecâz-ı mürsel, kinâye, tarîz vb. konular hemen hemen bütün alt başlıkları ve teferruatıyla ele alınır. Bu yönüyle Türkçe’de Belâgat’in bir şubesini bir bütün olarak konu edinen, sistemli ilk ve tek Belâgat kitabıdır. Zübdetü’l-Beyân, Tanzimat döneminde öne çıkan dil farkındalığının bir yansıması olarak görülebilir. Bu düşünceye göre Türkçe ayrı bir dil olduğu gibi ayrı bir grameri ve retoriği de olmalıydı. Eskiyi reddedenler ve Batı’yı örnek alanlar ya da eskiyi olduğu gibi devam ettirmek isteyenler arasında Mihalicî Mustafa Efendi, eskiyi farklı bir şekilde sürdürmeye devam etmiştir. Zübdetü’l-Beyân’da örnekler Türkçeleşmiş, buna karşılık tasnifler ve terimler konusunda yıllarca Osmanlı medreselerinde okutulan Arapça Belâgat kitaplarının etkisinde kalınmıştır. Zübdetü’l-Beyân bu haliyle yine de Recâîzâde’nin Talîm-i Edebiyatındaki veya Ahmed Reşîd Rey’in Nazariyyât-ı Edebiyyesindeki farklı ve daha özgün tasnif ve açıklamalarına giden yolda bir merhale olmuştur. Çalışma inceleme ve metin olmak üzere iki ana çerçeveden oluşmaktadır. İnceleme kısmında Zübdetü’l-Beyân’ın Türkçe Belâgat kitapları içerisindeki yeri, muhtevası, metodu açıklanmış ve metin kısmında eser, çeviriyazım sistemiyle günümüz alfabesine aktarılarılmıştır.

In this study, Mihalicî Mustafa Efendi’s work named Zübdetü'l-Beyân was dealt with. The first print of Zübdetü'l-Beyân was
made at Mihran printing house in Istanbul in 1297/1880 and the second print of it was made at Mahmud Beg printing house
in 1325/1909. Belagat is made up of the Maani, Beyân and Bedi. In the work Beyânis explained. Zübdetü'l-Beyân, which was
published a year ago from the Belâgat-i Osmâniyye belonging to Ahmet Cevdet Pasha, is the only book that deals with all
aspects of the only branch of Belagat in Turkish literature. In the work Beyân’s topics from the comparison, metaphor,
metonymy, parable/allegory, antithesis and so on. Subjects are dealt with in almost all sub-headings and in detail. This is the
first and only book of Belâgat which systematically deals with a branch of Belâgat as a whole in Turkish. Zübdetü'l-Beyân
can be seen as a reflection of the language awareness that stands out in the Tanzimat period. According to this idea, Turkish
should be a separate grammar and rhetoric as well as a separate language. Mihalicî Mustafa Efendi continued to maintain
the old style differently between those who denied the old style and those who exemplify the West or those who want to
continue as if they were old. In Zübdetü'l-Beyân, examples have been translated into Turkish, whereas Arabic-Belâgat
books, which were taught in Ottoman medieval times for years, have been influenced by the books. Zübdetü'l-Beyan was
still a stage on the way to the different and more original classification and explanations of Recâîzâde in the Talîm-i Literature or Ahmad Rashid Rey's Nazariyyât-ı Edebiyye. The study consists of two main frameworks: review and text. In the
examination part, the place, content and method of Zübdetü'l-Beyân in the Turkish Belâgat books were explained and in the
text part the work was transferred to the present alphabet with the translation system.
