An article is devoted to main issues about active tourism impact on the development of professionally significant personal qualities of students in the sphere of physical culture, with reliance on modern views of society development and education. Relevance of the problem is caused by a tendency to enhance the role of tourism in education. The authors show the role and features of influence the tourism on
the personality through their: self-knowledge, self-expression, self-diagnosis, selfawareness of own importance; aspiration to partnership and commonality; cultural freedom; contact with nature.
The paper also reveals the features of active tourism impact on the development of professionally significant personal qualities through motor activity, correction of psychophysical condition and self-training. The most important personal qualities are required in the professional work of the bachelor of physical culture and developed in the space of active tourism in the productive organization of rest, social and family
life and competition, defined on the basis of a survey of students.
The degree of the students’ involvement in tourism and the extent of their participation in tourism – from onetime to systematic one, is established in this study. The level of manifestation the professional significant personal qualities, that are developed by means of tourism is defined in article, the ranking of that qualities is carried out. The authors found a fact, that reactivity data of specific body systems, such
as voluntary attention, the amount and concentration of attention, general mental performance and short-term memory for words and numbers, that are reflecting the mental processes, have a profound effect on the development of professionally significant personal qualities. It is determined, that the positive dynamics of these
indicators connected with the fact that mental processes (speed of orientation, actions and decisions, its switch ability and mobility) are engaged during active tourism activities.
