The study provides various combinations of installing the main fans within a
mining system and evaluates the effectiveness of the chosen ventilation system. To block or to
decrease the negative impact of the natural draft within extreme winter conditions, the article
proposes to use local area fans which are installed in the adit without crosspieces and which work
according to the principle of the cross-interaction of the ventilation flows.
