Makale Özeti:

The article’s author notes that, according to thematic classification, Korean
mythological character names are fairly widely represented in English texts. These names are classified
according to semantic characteristics into mythological anthroponyms, mythological personal names,
mythological toponyms and mythological animal names. The author is also able to identify two other
groups of mythological names: magical items that are mentioned in myths as well as a group of abstract
concepts. The material being analysed is both the assimilated borrowings that are already present in
dictionaries as well as words during their stage of being borrowed which are presented as texts. The
article gives a short summary of the particular characteristics of the phonographic and grammatical
adaptation of Korean mythological names into English sources. The author notes several patterns in the
linguistic representation of Korean mythological vocabulary within English texts. In particular, this is
the fact that the borrowings do not have a clear distinction of the Korean mythological names into
proper nouns and common nouns.

В нашем исследовании под мифонимами понимаются лексические
единицы мифического содержания. Исследователи культуры восточноазиатских стран
отмечают то, что мифологические культуремы находятся рядом с пространством
философско-религиозного поля. Особенностью восточноазиатских
лингвокультурологических полей является их тесная связь между собой, обусловливаемая
принципом недуальности, или «одно в другом» [1]. В своем исследовании мы объединили
поля «философия-мифология-религия» именно по этой причине.
