The article analyzes the problems of gender inequality and its performance assessment used
in the world. The author analyzes the development trends of political, economic and social life as
well as the typical manifestations of the problem at all levels of government – municipal, state,
federal. In terms of gender inequality in the dynamics it can be judged on the development of
society, and that is important –it was reflected in the concepts – development of mankind on the
millennium, strategic development of Russia, its regions and municipalities.

В настоящее время проблема устранения гендерного неравенства и всех форм
дискриминации в обществе находится в центре внимания всего международного сообщества
и закреплена на законодательном уровне целым рядом международных документов.
Рядом эмпирических исследований доказано, что гендерное неравенство способствует
росту уровня младенческой смертности, поддерживает высокий уровень рождаемости при
низком уровне жизни, увеличивает распространенность венерических заболеваний,
способствует потерям производительности труда, увеличивает коррумпированность
государственных чиновников, криминальность бизнеса, и, в конечном итоге, снижает
экономический рост [8;312].
