The objectives of this paper are twofold - that the research focuses on the
positioning of the area of Southern Serbia as a final determination of border points,
and to define the boundaries and surfaces. The idea that the spatial framework of the
research focuses on south Serbia, which seems Niš, Toplica, Jablanica and Pčinja district,
lies in the fact that this is a crossroads of Eastern and Western Europe, leading to the Middle
East and the Aegean Sea. Method of end-point boundary observed territorial units
performed to determine the geographical center. Bearing in mind that the Southern Serbian interesting tourist destination that makes the combination of pristine and undiscovered
nature, we analyzed the geographic location, transportation position and the position
of the main tourist routes and travel to major tourist dispersive. Research findings are
described as certain characteristics are presented in direct relation to the engagement
of the identified and selected tourist resources of modern tourist facilities. Contribution
to research is reflected in application importance and his results can be incorporated into
the official tourism development strategy of individual spatial units.

Циљеви у овом раду су двоструки - да се истраживање фокусира на
позиционирање простора Јужне Србије у виду одређивања крајњих гранич-
них тачака, и да се дефинишу границе и површина. Идеја да се просторни оквир
истраживања фокусира на југ Србије који чине Нишки, Топлички, Јабланички и
Пчињски округ, лежи у чињеници да је ово раскрсница путева Источне и Запа-
дне Европе, које воде на Блиски исток и Егејско море. Методом крајњих гранич-
них тачака посматране територијалне јединице извршено је одређивање гео-
графског центра. Имајући у виду да је Јужна Србија занимљива туристичка
дестинација која чини спој нетакнуте и неоткривене природе, анализиран је
географски, саобраћајни, као и туристички положај према главним туристи-
чким правцима и према главним туристичким дисперзивама. Налази истра-
живања, описани у својству одређених карактеристика, представљени су у
директној вези са ангажовањем изабраних и идентификованих туристичких
ресурса за савремену туристичку понуду. Допринос истраживања се огледа у
апликативном значају и његови резултати могу бити инкорпорирани у звани-
чне стратегије развоја туризма појединих просторних целина.
