Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul ve eğitim kurumlarında görevli yönetici ve öğretmenlerin istenmeyen davranışlarıyla ilgili son üç öğretim yılında Antalya Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne yansıyan disiplin olaylarını incelenmektir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Antalya Maarif Müfettişleri Başkanlığının inceleme ve soruşturmaya ilişkin son üç öğretim yılına ait kayıtları incelenmiştir. Son üç öğretim yılında ceza alan yönetici oranı yaklaşık % 6, öğretmen oranı yaklaşık % 1’dir. Yöneticilere ve öğretmenlere uygulanan cezaların büyük bir çoğunluğu aylıktan kesme ve daha hafif cezalarıdır. Beş boyutta 23 ayrı istenmeyen davranış türü tespit edilmiştir. İşe, öğrencilere, okul çalışanlarına ve velilere yönelik istenmeyen davranışlar, en çok tekrarlanan davranışlardır.

The purpose of this study was to examine the disciplinary incidents of the undesirable behaviours of
principals and teachers working in schools and educational institutions that had been reflected in the Antalya
Provincial Directorate of National Education in the last three academic years. This study had qualitative
method quality and it was a case study. In this study, the document analysis method was used as a data
collection technique. The last three academic years of records on the inquisition and investigation of Antalya
Presidency Of Inspectors of Education were examined. The descriptive analysis method was used in the
analysis of the data that were obtained through documents. In the last three academic years, respectively,
investigations on 325, 415 and 348 administrators were done and 125, 139 and 181 administrators were
punished. In the same period, respectively, investigations on 327, 464 and 371 teachers were done and 202,
215 and 231 teachers were punished. The proportion of the administrators who received punishment is about
6 percent, whereas this proportion for the teachers was about 1 percent. The majority of the punishments that
were given administrators and teachers were forfeiture of pay and lighter punishments. 23 different
undesirable behaviours have been identified under five dimensions. In the last three years, while the number
of repetitions of the undesirable behaviours of the administrators that received punishment were 146, 222 and
227, the number of repetitions of the undesirable behaviours of teachers were 191, 314 and 294. The most
repeated undesirable behaviours were the work, students, school staff and parents oriented ones. In order to
prevent undesirable behaviours, suggestions on pre-service and in-service training were made.
