Bu çalışmanın amacı; devirli ve devirsiz spor yapan kadın ve erkek sporcuların çoklu zekâ alanlarının incelenmesidir.
Çalışmaya, “devirli (CG)” spor yapan 39 kişi, “devirsiz (ACG)” spor yapan 42 kişi olmak üzere iki gruba ayrılmış toplam 81 sporcu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Katılımcılara; "Multiple Intelligence Scale" isimli, orijinali McClellan and Conti (2008)’ye ait olan ve Türkçe geçerliği ve güvenirliği Babacan (2012) tarafından gerçekleştirilen “Çoklu Zekâ Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Ölçek; 3 alt başlık halinde toplam 27 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Ölçek ile birlikte katılımcılar tarafından, demografik özellikleri belirleyen 4 maddelik bir form doldurulmuştur. Ölçekten elde edilen veriler SPSS (Ver.22) paket programında yer alan frekans, yüzdelik hesaplamalar ve Student t Test yöntemleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Alfa (α) değeri olarak 0,05 kabul edilmiştir. Grupların ortalama yaşları CG için 21,59±3,48 yıl, ACG için ise 21,45±1,99 yıldır. Sonuç olarak; CG için “Varoluşçu ve İçsel Zekâ ” alanları baskın olarak tespit edilirken, ACG için ise “Görsel Zekâ ” alanının daha baskın olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of the present study was to determine multiple intelligence domains of male and female athletes according to their sport branches which are cyclic or acyclic.
81 athletes participated voluntarily in the study divided into 2 groups as 39 in cyclic group (CG) and 41 in acyclic group (ACG). "Multiple Intelligence Scale" belongs to McClellan and Conti (2008), whose Turkish validity and reliability studies were carried out by Babacan (2012), was used as the data collection tool. This scale has 27 items and three subscales. Also, an information form with 4 items that would demonstrate the students' demographic structure has been filled. Values obtained from scale were compared statistically by using SPSS (ver. 22) with the help of frequencies, percentages, and Student Samples t Test. Alpha level was set as 0,05 for statistical significance. The average age of the groups were 21,59 ± 3,48 years for CG and 21,45 ± 1,99 years for ACG. As a conclusion; "Existential and Intra-personal Intelligence" was determined as the premier intelligence areas for the athletes of CG. In addition, "Visual Intelligence" was found as the premier dominant area for athletes of ACG.
