In Islamic Law, the divorce is divided into two parts, as Sunni and bid'i in terms of whether it is in accordance with Sunnah or not. Bid'i divorce is also examined under two headings in terms of number and time. Fierce debates have taken place in the classical and the contemporary fiqh literature concerning whether both types of Bid'i talâk can be regarded as valid. In this study, it is aimed to give comparative information about the validity of bid’i divorce in terms of time. The subject is examined in an introduction and in four main chapters. Under the first headline, relevant anonimous and disputed points were identified, the disputants were gathered in three sub-headings and opinions were attributed to their owners. In the next three chapters, a part of the evidence of these groups was submitted, and in sometimes objections against relevant edvidence were dealt with.
